Terms and Conditions for Care My Appliance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline the agreement between you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) and Care My Appliance (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for the use of our appliance repair, maintenance, and installation services. By booking or utilizing our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with our services.
- Mandatory Inspection Charges
Upon booking a service, if a Care My Appliance technician is dispatched to your location, an inspection charge is applicable. This charge is mandatory and must be paid by the Customer. Failure to pay the inspection charge may result in the Company pursuing legal action against the Customer for recovery of dues.
- Our Business Model and Service Scope
Care My Appliance operates as a third-party, private service provider specializing in the repair and maintenance of various appliance brands. We exclusively handle out-of-warranty machines. If your appliance’s manufacturer warranty has expired, you are eligible to avail our services. We have expertise across a wide range of appliance brands and strive to make all necessary parts available.
- Service Schedule, Part Availability, and Delays
- Part Availability: We endeavor to have all necessary parts readily available. However, if a specific part is pending or not immediately in stock, the Company will provide an estimated timeframe for its availability and repair completion.
- Customer Acknowledgment of Timeframe: By proceeding with the service, you agree to adhere to the Company’s provided timeframe for part procurement and service completion. Your patience and understanding are required in such instances.
- Advance Payments and Cancellation Policy for Parts Pending
- Advance Payment: For services requiring part procurement, a minimum advance payment may be collected by the Company.
- Refund Policy for Parts Pending:
- If, after making an advance payment and while a part is pending, the Customer decides to cancel the service before the agreed-upon Company timeframe (e.g., 30 days) has elapsed, the advance amount will not be refunded. This is because the Company has initiated the part procurement process based on your agreement.
- A refund of the advance payment will only be processed if the Company fails to complete the service within the committed timeframe (e.g., if the Company gives a 30-day timeline and fails to complete the work within those 30 days).
- No Refund if Part Becomes Available: If the pending part becomes available within the agreed timeframe, and the Company is ready to complete the service, the advance payment will not be refunded. The Customer is then obligated to proceed with the repair.
- Legal Action for Refusal to Proceed: Should the Customer refuse to allow the Company to complete the service once the part is available within the agreed timeframe, the Company reserves the right to pursue legal action with full evidence to recover the service cost.
- Parts and Service Warranty
- Parts Warranty: Any parts replaced by Care My Appliance come with a specific warranty period, typically 3 months. If the same part fails due to manufacturing defects within this warranty period, the Company will replace it free of charge.
- Inspection/Visiting Charge Validity: The inspection charge or visiting charge has a validity period of one month.
- Subsequent Visits: If a Customer requests a service visit after the one-month validity of the previous inspection/visiting charge has expired, the standard minimum visiting charge will be applicable and must be paid to the technician to avail service. Failure to pay this charge will result in no service being rendered.
- Complaint and Communication Channels
Customers can register complaints or inquiries through our official email ID and WhatsApp. To ensure prompt service and identification, it is mandatory for the Customer to mention their Customer ID provided at the time of booking in all communications. Without the Customer ID, service may not be provided.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Any and all legal disputes or complaints arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the services provided by Care My Appliance shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kolkata Courts.
